Parent and Child Carers

Moments Fostering are pleased to announce a new service enanbling us to offer parent and child placements. To enable this service to meet the referral demands we are currently experiencing, we urgently need to recruit experienced foster carers that can work towards Parenting Capacity Assessments within a family setting.

This service is in response to the growing demand from Independent agencies for a service that enables parents and their children to be placed within a family environment, rather than a residential setting, for the completion of a parenting capacity assessment.

A senior Supervising Social worker will undertake a Parenting Capacity Assessment over a 12 week period; this will involve the parent, which may be either the mother or father, and at least one child, being placed with you for that duration and you working closely with the assessors to determine whether the parent has the capacity to look after the child on an ongoing basis.

As a carer you will receive an enhanced remuneration and additional support from your SSW. Training will also be provided.
